Before you order your Victoria’s Secret merchandise from other wholesale companies or from places that allow anybody to post “for sale ads” with no product licensing, please read this;
I’m sure you have seen “knock off Gucci bags” and “replica Fendi sunglasses”; as far as we are aware there is no such thing as “knock off Victoria’s Secret”. Although Victoria’s Secret is an exclusive name in the world of lingerie, it’s not a product that scammers find valuable enough to create “knock offs” of. HOWEVER, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of “for sale” postings online for *counterfeit* Victoria’s Secret goods. We want to expose these frauds and show you their dirty little *secrets*.
If you came to our site you are likely debating purchasing Victoria’s Secret merchandise, hence the reason you are here. You also have likely seen other postings for similar merchandise; those postings could have been way more expensive or even less expensive, but the question is, are the goods REAL?
The most common trick used worldwide by “wholesalers” is to take advantage of a customer who is a new buyer in the industry. You have probably ran across this all ready;
For sale postings that say the phrase “Tags have been cut to prevent store return”.
As a new buyer you may not know what this means, or, as a semi-experienced buyer you may *think* you know what this means, but you are wrong.
The seller is trying to create the image that they purchased the merchandise from Victoria’s Secret and Victoria’s Secret REQUIRED them to cut the tags to make sure that customers can’t return the merchandise to the store for full price. THIS IS A LIE.
1. Victoria’s Secret DOES NOT require “tags to be cut”
2. Victoria’s Secret DOES NOT accept store returns without a receipt and returns must be made within 90 days of purchase.
3. Items purchased from the Victoria’s Secret Catalog CAN NOT be “returned” to the store. They have to be shipped back to the catalog and in order to get a refund the item shipped back must be accommodated by a receipt.
4. Every catalog purchase is made by credit card / debit card, so there is no way for a customer to “return” something they bough via a website.
So as you can see, there is NO REASON for tags to be cut.
This is why people are “cutting tags” –
Below is a photo of two bras; one is Victorias Secret, one is not. Can you tell which is the Victorias Secret bra?
Chances are you can’t and if you didn’t know that one bra wasn’t Victoria’s Secret, you would assume both are if I told you they were, correct?
The bra above is the real deal. It retails for $46. You can purchase it through us on a wholesale deal for around $15. Now the second bra is a cheap-o bra that I found at Wal-Mart. It’s a nice looking bra that I spotted on the clearance rack for $3. I figured it would be the perfect candidate for my demonstration since it resembles a Victoria’s Secret style bra.
Now, if I take the Wal-Mart bra and grab a pair of scissors I can cut off the tag very easily.
Now that my tag has been cut off, if I were a scammer, I can *call* this bra a “Victoria’s Secret” bra, even though it isn’t.
By only paying $3 for it I am able to drop my cost down very, very low and resell them for way less than any legitimate Victoria’s Secret seller could.
By “cutting tags” and reselling fake product the scammer is able to make a fortune and the buyer is the one that is left out to dry.
At some point the buyer will be caught selling “counterfeit Victoria’s Secret Products”. A smart shopper WILL come along and spot a product that they know is a fake and they will report it.
If you are caught selling fake products a number of things can happen to you;
1. You can be criminally charged. Even if you point the finger at the company you bought the product from; YOU are still ultimately responsible because YOU chose to resell a product that was fake.
2. You can be civilly charged. This means you are held accountable for any monetary damages done as a result of your fraudulent sales. This can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. You will have to reimburse everyone who you ripped off and also cover all of your legal expenses as well as the legal expenses of those who are suing you civilly.
3. You may be placed on a long probation / ordered to do community service / spend time in jail
4. Your company is destroyed.
5. You may be unable to get licensing in certain areas.
6. Your product can (and will) be confiscated.
7. And more…
Is this really worth saving the extra buck? I *assume* everyone could agree that it isn’t. If you want a REAL, long-standing business with repeat customers, just play by the rules; buy legit and sell legit.
